Matrix Recruitment is working with an established manufacturing company in Co. Cavan to hire a Supply Chain Manager. This job will sit on the management team, driving the company forward.

Our client is looking for a skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee inventory, sourcing, planning, warehousing, and procurement. The right candidate will have an excellent problem-solving mindset and rigorous attention to detail. They will have a deep understanding of the supply chain function and inventory maintenance.

This job will require a strong communicator with a desire for innovation and transformation.

Key duties & responsibilities

• Create and implement the overall supply chain strategy.

• Build a resilient Supply Chain that is robust, agile and has the ability to evolve in line with a growing business.

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to ensure Order Cycle Times (OCT) are met.

• Determine and measure key supply chain KPIs to ensure internal (inbound, materials, production) and outbound products are coherent with an effective and efficient Supply Chain operations.

• Build deep supply chain knowledge assessing and tackling risks and new opportunities,

• Identify and analyse bottlenecks delivering processes to ensure smooth flow.

• Drive solutions for process. improvements forging relationships across other functions including production, sales, finance, and quality.

• Build and develop the supply chain team, instilling best practice and continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

• Education to masters or degree level.

• At least 2-3 years at management level and up to 10 years’ experience in supply chain, ideally in a manufacturing/engineering sector

• Experience in leading and managing a supply chain team/function with proven experience in driving performance improvement and KPI management.

• Planning & Sourcing and Inventory Management experience is required.

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong experience in ERP software (ideally SAP)

• Strong analytical thinker with the ability to act operationally and strategically.
