Our client, a global manufacturing company in Co.Longford is looking to hire a Supply Chain Coordinator. This company is going through significant growth with huge investment plans over the next couple of years. It’s a great time to join the Supply Chain team.

Due to growth this Supply Chain Coordinator is a new job.

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for purchasing materials, negotiating price, overseeing the process, and delivering of materials needed to fulfil customer orders. Supply Chain Coordinatorwill monitor inventory, schedule, and receive materials shipments. This job will report into the Supply Chain Manager

This is a permanent job.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Purchase materials in line with inventory targets.

  • Maintain the accuracy of the master data related to their products.

  • Manage and negotiate all non-stock purchases. Identify savings opportunities and secure the best pricing options.

  • Maintain a database of approved suppliers.

  • Determine and track Purchasing KPI’s

  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers; resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Proactively mitigate any potential problems in the supply of materials.

  • Assisting the Supply Chain Manager with maintaining inventory levels and materials on a regular basis

  • Effectively communicating with the management team to ensure all orders are accurate.

  • In charge of Freight shipments where required

  • Manage and implement cycle counting.

What are we looking for?

  • 3rd Level Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Engineering ideally.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ work experience of buying and in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • Strong ERP and excel experience.

  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of order management, planning, buying and scheduling.

  • Act on own initiative, strong IT, administrative, planning, organisation and communication skills.
