What you need to know

Our client, a leading plastics manufacturing company based in Co. Westmeath, are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their global organisation.

This is a permanent position, working week Monday – Friday.

The Senior Quality Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager.

 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities.

  • Provide support for Quality Assurance to uphold the highest standards of the Quality System.

  • Ensure the implementation and upkeep of the quality system according to ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and relevant medical device regulations.

  • Participate in and assist with new product development.

  • Analyse and report on quality performance data, driving continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

  • Manage customer complaints and internal non-conformances, aiding in investigation processes.

  • Act as the primary quality contact for specific customers, preparing necessary documentation for visits to the company site and customer sites.

  • Monitor vendors, issuing Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) as needed, and establish controls to prevent issues with Mergon products.

  • Develop and lead a team within the QA Department to maximize their potential within the organization.

  • Conduct internal audits in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949 programs.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in an Engineering discipline.

  • 3 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer.

  • Experience in Quality Systems and maintaining standards such as ISO 13485, IS0 900.

  • Capable in dealing with and resolving customer complaints.
