What you need to know

Our client a medical regulated manufacturing company in the Healthcare sector is seeking a Microbiologist for its state-of-the-art facility In Co. Roscommon. Our client is a focussed on continual growth and are looking for a candidate that will match the companies’ values of growth and product development.

In this role you will be reporting to the Quality Teams Specialist and on a day-to-day basis you will be carrying out Microbiological and environmental testing in line with the companies’ targets/KPIS.

This is a permanent position with the working hours based on a Day shift Monday to Friday basis.

Your new Job

  • Carrying out daily microbiology laboratory monitoring, routine media preparation and sterilisation in an efficient manner.

  • Routine microbiological analysis of Growth promotion tests, maintenance of microbial culture and culture suspension.

  • Sample collection and testing of purified water / WFI routine samples to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Testing of sterile routine samples provided by the Production facility to ensure compliance with BET specification.

  • Involved with the environment monitoring of the microbiology laboratory & production facility according to monitoring schedule & review routine and annual environmental monitoring data for compliance to specifications.

  • Carrying out investigations on product failures and customer complaints, reporting Non-Conformities and Out of Spec Results to the Quality Control Manager and Production Manager.

  • Gather, monitor, and trend data associated with agreed KPIs (Key Process Indicators) and report these results to the Management

What are we looking for?

  • Third level qualification in Microbiology

  • Knowledge of cGMP and ISO standards

  • One years’ experience testing in a medical device background would be a major advantage
