What you need to know
Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Management Accountant (P/T) for our Client, based in the Wexford Area.
This is a Part-time Role for 25-30 hours a week with a work pattern split over 4 days and including at least 2 full days.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Act as the local lead working closely with the inhouse finance team and Group finance to ensure that all financial transactions, processes, and reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner in line with both industry and internal standards of best practice.

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.

  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheets, Bank Accounts.

  • Cash flow forecasting & reporting (including FX).

  • VAT, VIES & statutory returns.

  • Local liaison for year-end audits.

  • Management of Account Receivable & Account Processing teams.

  • Close collaboration with Group Finance to implement Group best practice on a local level.

  • Support Managing Director with creation of annual overhead budgets and projections.

  • Other finance projects and requirements as they arise.

What are we looking for?

  • A fully qualified accountant.

  • 2-3 years of experience post qualification in a similar role is essential.

  • Experience in the FMCG wholesale, distribution, retail or manufacturing sectors is a distinct advantage.

  • Experience of using finance software packages is essential, SAP Business One experience is a distinct advantage.

  • Experience of managing and developing a team.

  • Ability to multi-task and support competing needs of the various business functions.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • Comfortable working in both an SME and Corporate/Group environment

  • Demonstrated experience of implementing and monitoring internal controls and process improvements.

  • A driven, self-motivated individual, who can work independently.

  • A Qualified member of a recognised accountancy body is essential.
