What you need to know

Our client who are based in Co. Offaly and have a long-established entity in the Midlands region are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their team.

The Maintenance Electrician will have the responsibility of meeting demanding objectives in maintenance, engineering, commercial activities, safety, environmental concerns, and quality standards.

The Maintenance Electrician will operate under the guidance and supervision of the Maintenance Foreman.

This is a permanent position, working week Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining the plant's operational readiness, efficiency, and safety standards by effectively managing maintenance tasks. This includes utilizing spare parts efficiently within allocated budgets and following maintenance management guidelines closely.

  • Safely achieve maintenance plans and targets while being mindful of environmental considerations.

  • Conduct fault diagnosis as necessary and perform plant inspections and operational tasks.

  • Assist in implementing the Plant Business Management System, including safety initiatives.

  • Execute preventive maintenance and other tasks, maintaining thorough records.

  • Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality maintenance services.

  • Coordinate with external parties when necessary and oversee their activities on-site.

  • Engage in the Performance Management process to ensure personal and team objectives are met.

  • Comply fully with company measures for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all personnel and visitors on the premises.

What are we looking for?

  • Candidates should possess suitable technical credentials, such as recognized apprenticeships, Higher National Diplomas (HNDs), Higher Certificates (HCs), or comparable experience.

  • A minimum of five years' relevant experience is required.

  • A Level 6 qualification or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering is necessary.

  • Proficiency in IT and familiarity with maintenance management systems.
