Our client is looking to recruit a Junior Technician for their Engineering company located in Athlone, Co. Westmeath

Are you a school leaver who wants to go into the workplace and upskill within the engineering industry?

This is a permanent job with immediate start.

Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:

• Cutting and assembling of components/parts.

• Following customer order specifications.

• Using tools such as chop saws, drilling machines and cable saws.

• Prepare and pack parts for shipping.

• Ensure goods inwards/outwards match order descriptions.

What are we looking for?

• A qualification/certification in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage but would be suited to a school leaver looking to progress in a manufacturing environment.

• Previous hands-on experience.

• Strong physical dexterity.

• Experience using electrical tools, chop saws, drilling machines and cable saws.

• Knowledge/Interest of cutting and assembling of components/parts.

• Attention to detail.

• Willingness to learn and progress.

• Fluent in oral and written English.
