Our global client a manufacturing engineering company with over 60 years in business is now looking to hire a Finance Analyst. This job is based in Co. Cavan with a progressive company who continues to grow year after year.

The Finance Analyst will join a large finance team, providing relevant data, and accounting reporting to assist Senior Management in business decisions. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop relevant reports for Finance in Power BI (PBI) working closely with the IT Data Engineer and senior level Finance stakeholders. The Business Analyst will be responsible for the design and deployment of dashboards and reports in Power BI to help build efficiencies in key aspects of financial and management reporting.

• Validate current PBI reports and data sets to ensure accurate reporting and completeness of the data. Identify and work with IT and other departments to drive continuous improvement in data analysis and reporting.

• Work with Finance, IT, and other teams to model and map-out complex business process data relationships to ensure accuracy and completeness for workflows.

• Prepare group forecasts monthly, report on cash positions and identify issues.

• Provide treasury reports and analysis as required.

• Monitor intercompany balances and charges and ensure timely intercompany payments.

• Back up support on monthly consolidation for Group reports and year end audit consolidation.

• Assist with group budgets and forecasts.

• Assist with upgrades for SAP, other financial packages, and systems.

What are we looking for?

• Qualified accountant or near qualifications.

• 3 -4 years’ experience in a commercially focussed role, with exposure working alongside different departments.

• Must have the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines.

• Previous experience with Power BI and/or other data visualisation packages.

• Advanced abilities in MS Excel and other MS Office programs.

• Experience of ERP systems (preferably SAP but not essential).

• Excellent analytical & reporting skills with ability to extract, analyse and work within the data.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently.
