Niall Curley, from our recruitment team, attended the recent Midlands Region CIPD event highlighting the importance of “Working Smarter Not Harder”. See below how it went.

The Midlands Region of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) recently hosted a very successful event on “Working Smarter Not Harder” in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone.  This was the second event in an exciting programme of events for 2017/2018 provided by the CIPD Midlands Region Committee.

Following a networking opportunity for attendees, there was an introduction from Alison Sheridan, Chairperson of the CIPD Midlands Committee. The key speaker, Robert Potter of RP Consulting focused on providing HR professionals and managers with the skills and techniques to improve time management and increase productivity in the workplace. In today’s competitive and fast moving economic environment, time management and smarter working skills are of vital importance. The talk focused on many practical skills and techniques to improve time management in the workplace and to realise significant improvements. Robert highlighted the key benefits of lean six sigma and process improvement and the potential productivity benefits that may be achieved as a result of implementing successful processes and improvements in our daily working life. Robert finished the talk with some take-home tips on working smarter such as creating and following a “To Do List” each day. Robert opened the room to questions from the audience which closed a successful event.
